4.1.4.2 Maintenance of the Educational Sovereignty

Educational sovereignty is a component part of the national sovereignty, which means an inherent supreme power owned by a country on dealing with domestic educational affairs and to keep the educational independence in the world. The maintenance of state sovereignty is the foundation of legislation in a country, so actually the maintenance of the educational sovereignty is mentioned in all above laws and regulations. However, with the development of CFCRS, the impingement to the educational sovereignty is constantly stronger and the maintenance of the sovereignty appears more and more comprehensive and multidimensional.

Educational sovereignty is always a comparatively sensitive topic on CFCRS. Especially after China joining WTO, how to maintain the educational sovereignty stands as a breach to all the challenges that education must meet. In the new circumstances; the problems such as the loss of educational resources caused by low-level cooperation in running schools, the entry of inferior foreign educational resources which lead to the failure of the original intention of China to introduce high-quality educational resources, the departure of the purpose on running schools caused by foreign part scrambling for dominancy, and the infiltration of the western culture, which have already appeared or probably appear, will cause direct loss of the educational sovereignty. In order to maintain the educational sovereignty and protect the national benefit, China has made great efforts in making the policy of CFCRS.1.Regulating the principles in running schools
